Winter Fashion

Hi babes! The winter hasn't fully left just yet. So good news there's still time to pull out the layers and keep the coats in hands reach. While I look forward to wearing lighter clothing and feeling the sun on my skin I'm glad I still have the opportunity to prove that even when it's cold you can still be on point with your fashion game. This winter will not catch me slippin ;) It may be a challenge but we all know I'm in it to win.

Recently I've made a trip back to the Midwest (and before you think i'm out of my mind which you're probably right) I spent quality time with family and enjoyed every second of it! However... the weather definitely was not on my side but it's safe to say I survived. And let's be real I could be in Antarctica freezing my buns off but hey I'd still do it for the gram. That commitment is real.

So during my trip I was able to have some fun being a tourist in Milwaukee. I visited the downtown Milwaukee Arts Museum. It was definitely a treat! I absolutely fell in love with the architecture and of course the fact that the interior was white. White is definitely my aesthetic. I've never used that word or referred to anything as it but you can bet your bottom dollar I have a thing for all white interior. There was so much art to see that I didn't have the chance to fully view all of it but there definitely were some interesting and unique pieces. An overall art appreciation day!

Now to the fashion...

Minus the fact that I was not prepared for this weather and I don't know how many layers would actually keep me from freezing out there being able to display this look was definitely worth it.

Inside I'm wearing a red knit dress from H&M. I love the fabric it's super comfy and hugs your skin.
I adore the flowyness (that's not a word but i'm going to use it) of the bottom because I really feel
like the red dress emoji girl that's slayin. Bring on the Fuego. But really cause it was freezing and it should b illegal to be that cold.

I'm smiling but I can promise you on the inside i'm frozen and lost all feeling of my bodily functions. Including my heart...maybe this is a good thing because if your heart is frozen you can't be attacked by the feels! You're welcome.
As you can see here at a better look of the dress it compliments your figure greatly. When you move it moves with you and if that aint real love I don't know what is.

Now for the boots. I swear they're boots and not long black socks although that would be cool too.
These black ankle boots were an absolute steal from AGACI. I've been looking on getting my hands on these babies for the longest time because I love finding cheaper alternatives of what the celebrities/high fashion models are wearing. These type of ankle booties can be seen on models like Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, and many more.

Now this coat I've actually had for awhile and it's definitely done me justice. So I highly recommend having a trench coat in any closet because not only will they always be highly fashionable they keep you warm and trendy during the winter or NYFW season. So whatever you got going on inside you know on the outside you poppin.

So really it doesn't take too much or should cost too much to achieve a simple but high fashion look. Especially during the winter. Although I really can't speak much on this because walking down the street I was more wondering how long I could survive til my diagnostic of death would conclude hypothermia. But this by far has to definitely be one of my favorite looks I've created so far.
Red is a complimenting  color and black is always a dependable color that goes with anything.

I really hope you've enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed sharing my winter/high fashion advice with you. If you would like to create this look and make it your own tag me in it! I would love to see you killlin it especially in this winter weather!

Apricoss Swimwear~

In my previous post we were discussing brands. I'm pleased to share with you the next collaboration I've worked on within the previous year. It certainly has been some time so their definitely is some major catching up to do and filling in the gaps in between. Over the past summer I've transitioned into the obsession of one pieces. I remember despising being forced to wear them as a kid but somehow the things I once neglected are the things I now treasure. So it's safe to say their are several different one pieces I own including the one I am grateful to have received from Apricoss.

Starting with the fabric itself it is super lightweight and made from recycled fibers which I am all for. Eco friendly swimwear is one of the best things I've come by. I couldn't wait to start getting my creative juices flowing and idealize how I wanted to display and share this. Unfortunately my surroundings at the time were not near a beautiful beach where I could get my hair wet and feet sandy for some Sports Illustrated type of swimwear shoot. However I tend to always use what I have with where I'm at. Nonetheless it was a fun process. I've definitely received some great feedback as well!

Now I know what you're thinking...Obviously nobody wears glasses when they swim. Duh.
Just Kidding. ;) Actually not but in this picture some features are displayed more than others if ya catch my vibe. Big things popping and little things dropping. Gainz out for display. Viewer discretion advised.

Okay but really besides my joking. The color is beautiful, the fabric is stellar, and the overall look itself just tops it off and sets it in the bag for me. So if your looking for a one piece that is not like the others but very much a gift in itself you've got your one stop shop here.

Oh! And don't forget your frozen pineapples. Those are a must.

Let's Talk... Brands.

It's that time... So while I've been away. I've took it upon myself to dig deeper into the social media realm and find brands I advocate and 100% support. Not for sponsorship or my personal benefit from collaborating but let's break it down this way... 1) Curiosity strikes and I love peeping into what's out there and seeing the value certain things in particular hold. 2) I love being of influence and voicing my personal beliefs of the pros and cons of what it's worth to invest into something. Mind you I only promote and share what I personally believe in and this includes doing my own research beforehand. 3) If i'm able to share quality product/review of something that is beneficial to another party then I feel I have done some justice in one area. Therefore coming into the conclusion of this all i'm pleased and happy to have the ability to share with you the different brands I collaborate with and am hopeful they will be of use.

Two incredible brands I've been blessed to work with are Nordic Beach and Apricoss.
(I will link info to both below)

Starting off, Nordic Beach is a brand I've been able to personally work with. So advocating for a brand I've actually been hands on with is huge and speaks measures. I work directly with the Owner/Designer of the company so I pretty much know this brand like the back of my hand. When you work with a great person that creates something great it's almost an overall recipe for well... greatness! Nordic Beach is your go to during winter time. Although it does come handy in Summer. Winter is when it's most efficient. You'll see why soon. ;)

Apricoss is an awesome brand I've enjoyed promoting for. Not only are they super hands on with making super awesome things happen but they just so happen to also provide awesome things to wear. I always try not to set high expectations before obtaining something but they certainly did exceed them. High quality brand with high quality people. I dig that high key. This brand is your definite go to for Summer time. We're talking Sunny days, blue skies, and beach vibes.

Here are some shots of Nordic Beach:
I took these in Downtown LA after modeling in a fashion show for the weekend. This jacket helped keep me warm backstage and during the rest of my trip. I paired these with some old school Nike high tops I've been repping since the 6th grade. I'm a huge believer in treasuring the good stuff that may come in handy later on ;) Inside I had on a simple black slip on dress and topped off my look with my FLAWLESS hat (Beyonce vibes like all the time) and some black shades. An easy to achieve look with minimal effort.

Fluffing my jacket is almost the same as popping the collar right?

Annnnd this is my not so obvious undercover on my way to the taco truck disguise.
But let's be real... on my way to steal your tacos in style?... ya dang right!

Bossin & Mobbin all at the same time.

Sooooo if you're a street wear fanatic this jacket will definitely be an easy steal. The fun part is you can dress it up or down (I have done both) This outfit was really fun to put together because I didn't really go out of my way to buy anything. I just used what I already had and made magic happen and sometimes that's all it really takes. However the absolutely most important information you will ever understand about this jacket that you absolutely 100% need to know and will agree with once you find out for yourself is ... it's literally like wearing a fuzzy blanket.

Please tell me the above statement didn't just make all your wildest dreams come true. I've definitely spent too many times walking around the household wrapped in a blanket and never wanting to leave because I was waiting til it was socially acceptable to wear a blanket out. But now I actually don't have this issue. And the answer to your question is YES people walk up to me all the time and pet my jacket, As funny and interesting as it sounds. But I really can't blame them because it's worth it and I can't tell you how many times I get stopped and asked what i'm wearing and where to get it.

Now for the best part about all of this! Because I let you in on the good stuff there's more. If you're interested in purchasing this jacket for yourself or someone else you get 15$ off using my discount code because you're just that rad.

You can get your own fluffy Nordic Beach Jacket: Here
There are 3 different colors right now Nude, Black, and Gray.
Fun Fact: One size fits all (no joke)
Even better fact: ***FREE SHIPPING!!!***
Once you checkout there will be a little bar/area to type in your code:
KSSAVE$15
(as seen exactly above)

You can PM me or message me anywhere if you have any questions feel free to reach out! I got you boo. Also tag me in your pictures if you purchase your fluff! I wanna see all of you stunt! And believe me I will be leaving all them hearts up!

This post is getting kinda lengthy so I'm going to leave this here and start fresh with the next brand!

The Comeback

Well... we meet again. After time spent figuring life out and going through the roller coaster of the unexpected highs and lows  i'm back to my original roots. Blogging and talking whatever fashion sense I think I have. I've definitely put this old joy on the back burner but I'm looking forward to actually committing myself to this and staying consistent with providing great value and information. Somehow I've unintentionally found myself wrapped up in the fashion/blogging world without my knowing. *Ahem* My insta speaks for itself. So recently something sparked inside of me once again to pick it up and actually roll with it. For real. Like All in. No half assing anything anymore. (Excuse the language) but there's a fire lit under my booty right now and there's no better time than now. I'm not sure if I'll pick up my good ol YouTube videos anytime soon (because those obviously didn't embarrass my entire existence at least to me) but I find myself being accessible enough to keep up with this blog and post because I've already wasted enough time not capitalizing on my own personal interests. Kinda silly right? So i hope i'm able to deliver exactly what i'm talking about and be satisfied with my outcome but we shall see in due time for now this will definitely be a fun challenge to start once again.

Some exciting news... I have up my sleeve. A long with this fashion blog I am also selling my wardrobe. *drops pizza* Shocker right? Actually truth be told I have so many things I put no use to and a big step forward in my life is getting rid of old things especially things that are not being put to use or no longer serve a purpose. This includes people ;) But anyways out with the old in with the new right? Getting rid of things is definitely a huge stress reliever and acts as therapy in a way. So I figure what is no longer of use to me can be of use to someone else! So while you read my posts and check out my fashion sense you also have the opportunity of actually shopping my closet! A win win right? Winner Winner chicken dinner... So I will continuously be linking my closet to my posts so keep out on the look in case you want to raid my closet and snag something before someone else does! And perhaps if there are any looks you like over time I may be willing to recycle my current wardrobe and it could fall into your hands ;)

Well with all of that! I'm excited to be back and not let you and myself down. My greatest appreciation for those who are continuously proactive on my rise.

P.S. Stay connected with me, my fashion, and my whereabouts!
