Recently I've made a trip back to the Midwest (and before you think i'm out of my mind which you're probably right) I spent quality time with family and enjoyed every second of it! However... the weather definitely was not on my side but it's safe to say I survived. And let's be real I could be in Antarctica freezing my buns off but hey I'd still do it for the gram. That commitment is real.
So during my trip I was able to have some fun being a tourist in Milwaukee. I visited the downtown Milwaukee Arts Museum. It was definitely a treat! I absolutely fell in love with the architecture and of course the fact that the interior was white. White is definitely my aesthetic. I've never used that word or referred to anything as it but you can bet your bottom dollar I have a thing for all white interior. There was so much art to see that I didn't have the chance to fully view all of it but there definitely were some interesting and unique pieces. An overall art appreciation day!
Now to the fashion...
Minus the fact that I was not prepared for this weather and I don't know how many layers would actually keep me from freezing out there being able to display this look was definitely worth it.
Inside I'm wearing a red knit dress from H&M. I love the fabric it's super comfy and hugs your skin.
I adore the flowyness (that's not a word but i'm going to use it) of the bottom because I really feel
like the red dress emoji girl that's slayin. Bring on the Fuego. But really cause it was freezing and it should b illegal to be that cold.
I'm smiling but I can promise you on the inside i'm frozen and lost all feeling of my bodily functions. Including my heart...maybe this is a good thing because if your heart is frozen you can't be attacked by the feels! You're welcome.
As you can see here at a better look of the dress it compliments your figure greatly. When you move it moves with you and if that aint real love I don't know what is.
Now for the boots. I swear they're boots and not long black socks although that would be cool too.
These black ankle boots were an absolute steal from AGACI. I've been looking on getting my hands on these babies for the longest time because I love finding cheaper alternatives of what the celebrities/high fashion models are wearing. These type of ankle booties can be seen on models like Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, and many more.
Now this coat I've actually had for awhile and it's definitely done me justice. So I highly recommend having a trench coat in any closet because not only will they always be highly fashionable they keep you warm and trendy during the winter or NYFW season. So whatever you got going on inside you know on the outside you poppin.
So really it doesn't take too much or should cost too much to achieve a simple but high fashion look. Especially during the winter. Although I really can't speak much on this because walking down the street I was more wondering how long I could survive til my diagnostic of death would conclude hypothermia. But this by far has to definitely be one of my favorite looks I've created so far.
Red is a complimenting color and black is always a dependable color that goes with anything.
I really hope you've enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed sharing my winter/high fashion advice with you. If you would like to create this look and make it your own tag me in it! I would love to see you killlin it especially in this winter weather!
